Emre Tezmen, CFA, graduated with High Academic Distinction from the Department of Economics at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) in 1995, and subsequently completed his Master’s Degree in Business Administration with Great Distinction at VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) in 1997. Additionally, he holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter and is a Regular Member of the CFA Institute.
Having spearheaded pioneering initiatives in the finance and technology sectors throughout his professional career, Tezmen took a major step in innovation by implementing one of Türkiye’s first online trading platforms. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler, Tera Portföy Yönetimi, Tera Finans Faktoring, and Tera Yatırım Bankası, all of which he co-founded. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Tera Yatırım Teknoloji Holding, Tera Finansal Yatırımlar Holding, Tera Yatırım Holding, and Peker GYO.
Serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Barikat Group since September 2024, Tezmen assumes strategic leadership in cybersecurity and technology. Since 2022, he has served as a Board Member and Chairman of the Venture Capital Committee at the DEİK / Digital Technologies Business Council; and since 2023, he has been contributing to the security and transparency of the financial system as a Board Member of Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu A.Ş. (Central Securities Depository of Türkiye).
Playing an active role in the development of Türkiye’s financial and technological infrastructure through his international experience, entrepreneurial vision, and leadership approach, Tezmen continues his work toward supporting sustainable growth in both sectors.
