• Students can reserve group study rooms by emailing kutuphane@topkapi.edu.tr or by visiting our library located on the Kazlıçeşme Campus.
• Users who do not have an Istanbul Topkapı University student ID card cannot reserve a group study room.
• Rooms are available for a 2-hour use. The duration may be extended if there is no other request.
• User groups can make a maximum reservation of 2 hours per day.
• A user cannot reserve two consecutive hours on the same day.
• Group study rooms can be reserved during library working hours.
• Reservation prior to use is mandatory. Rooms can be reserved one day in advance or on the same day.
• Reservations can be canceled by sending an email to the library or by visiting the circulation desk.
• Reserved rooms must be checked in within 15 minutes of the start time. If the student does not arrive within 15 minutes, the reservation is automatically canceled and the room becomes available.
• Users should not forget to collect their student ID cards from the library staff when leaving.
• The librarian reserves the right to make corrections and/or cancel reservations when deemed necessary.
The Group Study Room Must Be Used in Accordance with the Following Rules:
• The group study room is for groups consisting of at least 2 and at most 6 people.
• Drinks may be consumed only in closed containers.
• Eating is not allowed in the rooms.
• Trash must be disposed of in the trash bins after use.
• Users are responsible for leaving the room tidy after use.
• Mobile phones must be kept on silent mode.
• Watching movies or non-educational videos and playing loud music in the group study room is prohibited.
• Users should avoid making excessive noise out of respect for other library users.
• Users must not unplug or attempt to repair any electrical equipment in the room. In case of any problem, the responsibility lies with the users present in the room.
