For applications from universities abroad, the higher education institution and program where the student is studying abroad must be recognized by the Council of Higher Education as an institution authorized to grant associate or bachelor's degrees, and the diploma program in which the student is enrolled must be accepted by the relevant university as equivalent to the undergraduate diploma program for which they are applying for horizontal transfer.
2. For undergraduate (4-year) programs, a minimum of one academic year (two semesters) of study is required, excluding the foreign language preparatory class.
3. The student must pass all courses and have a minimum GPA of 60 out of 100. Students who do not meet the specified success requirement but whose ÖSYM central placement score in the year of registration is equal to or higher than the base score of the undergraduate program they wish to transfer to can apply for horizontal transfer.
4. Transfer is not possible for students studying at universities abroad that accept students based on special talent exams.
5. Must not have received any disciplinary punishment other than warnings and reprimands.
6. The minimum scores on the Student Selection and Placement Exams administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center, which will be used in evaluating applications for transfer to higher education programs in Turkey for students who have begun higher education abroad, and the exams and scores deemed equivalent to these scores, along with the international transfer quotas determined by universities, are announced by the Council of Higher Education. To apply for transfer, candidates must meet or exceed the minimum announced scores.
7. Students currently studying abroad must have taken the ÖSYS exam (Student Selection and Placement Exam) in the year they began their studies abroad or possess equivalent documentation for transfer applications. They must also meet the requirements set by the
Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in the relevant year's ÖSYS guide. 8. Transfers to undergraduate programs based on GPA are made between equivalent degree programs at the same level, within the quotas determined by the University Senate and reported to the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
9. Having suspended registration does not constitute an obstacle to benefiting from horizontal transfer.
