Dear Students,

According to Article 44, paragraph c, of Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, the maximum duration of study for four-year undergraduate programs is seven years, for five-year undergraduate programs is eight years, for six-year undergraduate programs is nine years, and for associate degree programs is four years. Therefore, your maximum duration of study has been recalculated as of the 2014-2015 academic year.

The maximum study periods stated above do not include the registration freeze period and the time spent in preparation.

   Explanation
 A(Number of Courses Never Taken + Number of Failed/Absent Courses) > 5 (6 or more)Students are given two additional exam rights for all courses they have failed/missed/never taken. Students whose total number of failed or never taken courses is less than five are given an additional three semesters. Students who fail to reduce the total number of failed or never taken courses to five will be dismissed.
 B(Number of Courses Never Taken + Number of Failed/Absent Courses) <= 5 (5 and less than 5) and BDD > 1If the student uses his/her right to take an exam, he/she is given an additional period of 3 semesters; if not, he/she is given an additional period of 4 semesters.
 CIf the number of courses he/she has never taken is 0If the Number of Failed/Absent Courses is 1A student who is given unlimited exam rights and does not take the exam three times in a row or at intervals will be dismissed.
If the number of courses he/she has never taken is 0If the Number of Failed/Absent Courses is 0If the CGPA is less than 2.00, the student is given unlimited right to take exams in the courses with letter grades DD and DC.

NOTES:

Students whose maximum term has expired and whose relationship has not been terminated

- Senior students whose maximum education period has expired must apply through the OİS system on the announced dates.

• Login to OIS System

Username: The username must be a combination of first and last name, without using any Turkish characters. For example (ezgiyurekturk)

Password: TR ID number must be written as the password.

Application Procedures

-From the "Maximum Duration Supplemental Exam Application" screen in the Course Procedures section, select and save the course you will be taking the exam in. Once the course selection process is complete, the application process is complete.

Students whose maximum term has expired and their relationship has been terminated

Students who have expired and are dismissed from the school will not be able to submit their applications through the system. Students who have been dismissed must complete the application form and submit it to the Student Affairs office by hand or by email. Click here for the application form .

Payment Transactions;

The amount to be paid for the selected course(s) will be visible to you on the OİS (Oİs) screen. Students who wish to pay in cash can deposit the tuition fee into the bank IBAN numbers listed below. The payment receipt must be uploaded from https://ois.topkapi.edu.tr/fi/eodeme to complete the application .
