As the Department of Economics, we aim to train undergraduate students as economists with world-class knowledge and skills to contribute to the Turkish and world economy and financial system. In line with this purpose, our department offers a unique curriculum with theoretical and applied courses to improve our students' analytical thinking and rational decision-making skills. Besides, various academic activities organized within the University, such as congresses, symposiums, and seminars, enable our students to closely follow current developments in different fields and constantly renew and develop themselves. Thanks to the University's social and sports activities, our students can expand their social communication networks. They can also get a start in business one step ahead with a wide range of internships and career opportunities in Istanbul, where the heart of the business world beats. Following the intense theoretical and applied education, our graduates will have an excellent opportunity to work in national/international companies, public institutions, and organizations and pursue an academic career.
