The Department of Economics has started to admit undergraduate students from the Fall semester of 2021-2022 within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences. Our department aims to train undergraduate students as economists who research, question, have analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, are open to continuous learning and innovation, and have a good command of the methodology of economics.
The Department of Economics offers a unique curriculum with theoretical and applied aspects. Our esteemed students will have a great occasion to develop themselves by specializing in different fields with our dynamic learning plan, a vast pool of elective courses, double major and minor programs, and international exchange programs. They will also start their professional careers one step ahead with the internship and graduation project courses. Our curriculum interacts with other departments such as Business Administration, Management Information Systems, and International Trade and Business Administration. This close interaction enables us to offer various elective courses that will pave the way for our graduates to work in different sectors, such as banking and finance, informatics, health, insurance, tourism, telecommunications, service, and energy, at national and multinational companies. Our graduates will also be able to pursue a career in academia and work in high-level positions in public institutions and organizations.
The Department of Economics offers four years of full-time study, and the language of instruction is English. There will be English preparatory classes in the first year for students with insufficient English.
